Anyone looking for Dallas jobs part time should consider working for one of the nation's most popular sporting events.
The new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington will host Super Bowl XLV on Feb. 6, 2011. This marks the first time the Super Bowl is being hosted in the Dallas-Fort Worth are and the third time the big game is being hosted in the State of Texas.
The Super Bowl will draw many fans, as the stadium seats more than 90,000 people, making it the largest venue since 1993. Many area cities are planning to host special Super Bowl-themed events in the days leading up to the big game.
The game will additionally create many temporary part-time jobs for local residents, including everything from security officers to concession stand vendors. As the Super Bowl is such a large event, job seekers may have to undergo Texas criminal background checks. Visit http://www.easybackgroundchecks.com/tx-texas-background-check.htm to learn more.
Even more importantly, area businesses will benefit from the influx of people in town to see the Super Bowl.
"The Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex is a vibrant melting pot of nightlife, cuisine, shopping, culture and family fun, and we encourage visiting sports fans to spend a few extra days exploring," Julie Chase, Tourism Director for the Governor's Division of Economic Development and Tourism, said.
Tourism, which is one of the largest industries in Texas, supports about 525,700 jobs throughout the state. During 2009, visitors spent about $51.8 billion in Texas, while their travel expenditures generated $2.7 billion in state taxes and $943 million in local taxes.
I love watching football. I'm glad they are contributing something to Dallas.
