One company's plans to expand will create more Austin TX jobs (Click here).
Interactions Corporation recently announced its plans for a company-wide expansion. The company will hire about 250 people during Q4 2010, with about half of those positions going to Interaction's Austin operations, and the other half going to the company's headquarters in Carmel, Ind.
Interactions is looking to hire both full and part-time employees, according to an article by the Austin Business Journal. The company will pay employees based on their performance and will even offer the opportunity for top performers to earn weekly bonuses.
In addition, the company specifically needs analysts with "video game-like dexterity and quickness, keen listening ability and an attention to detail and accuracy."
Interactions provides customer care technology for automated voice platforms and other interactive systems. The new employees will help the company expand its customer base and adjust to seasonal demand.
"Despite the national economic uncertainty, the demand for our HumanTouch platform over the last year has enabled us to secure new funding, partners, employees and customers, including several Fortune 500 companies," Mike Iacobucci, president and CEO of Interactions Corporation, said.
These additional jobs will only bolster Austin's continuously improving economy, as the city has seen its employment rate drop and its workforce grow during recent months.
During September, the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos area's unemployment rate decreased from 7.2 percent to 6.8 percent, after declining from 7.3 percent during August. Those decreases keep the area's rate below the national average of 9.6 percent.
The Austin area had a total non-farm employment of 771,200 workers during September, which is up from 768,500 workers during August and a 2.3 percent increase from last year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
